Vietnam, Dak Lak Prov., Krong Bong Distr., Hoa Son Municipality, vicinities of Krong Kmar river, NE slopes of Chu Yang Sin mt system at elevation 700-800 m a.s.l. around point 12°27′55″N 108°19′00″E.

Primary mixed broad-leaved and coniferous forest with Pinus latteri along ridge edge.

Terrestrial ephemeroid herb. Floral bracts brightly red-purple, outside with olive-green tint. Not common.
