Vietnam, Dak Lak Prov., Krong Bong Distr., Hoa Son Municipality, vicinities of Krong Kmar river, NE slopes of Chu Yang Sin mt system at elevation 600-800 m a.s.l. around point 12°27′55″N 108°19′00″E.

Primary mixed broad-leaved and coniferous forest with Pinus latteri and P. krempfii along ridge edge.

Tree 15-20 m tall and up to 0.4 m in diam. Common. Co-dominant of mixed and coniferous forest.
