Vietnam, Nghe An Prov., Ky Son Distr., Muong Tip Municipality, near Pha Noi village at elevation about 900-1200 m a.s.l. around point 19°16″38″N 104°02′43″E.
Mixed open semi-deciduous submontane secondary forest on very steep slopes composed with granite and shale.
Woody vine 20-30 m long on tall trees along rocky steep stream slope. Flowers light violet, central tepal with yellowish central spot. Not common.
