Dry Dipterocarp woodlands and wet grasslands on thin ferralite soils at elevation about 13 m a.s.l.

Submersed aquatic herb in slow shallow water of stream pools. Inflorescences erect to 25 cm tall. Flowers blue, median tepal with yellow spot at the base. Rare.
