Primary broad-leaved evergreen lowland dry forest on steep shaly hill slopes at elevation 700-920 m a.s.l.
Terrestrial herb with ascending stem and erect leaves to 1.2 m long along mountain ridge in shady places. Very common to abundant. Old flowers dull brownish.
