Primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest on W macroslope at elevation from 500 m to the mountain top elevated to 1425 m.
Terrestrial palm-like plant with erect stem 2-10 m tall, to 0.5 m DBH and leaves 2-2.5 m long in shady close forest at elevations 200-400 m. Very common. Only sterile specimens.
