Primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest on W macroslope at elevation from 500 m to the mountain top elevated to 1425 m.
Terrestrial herb on shady slopes in mossy pillows at elevations 500-1000 m. Leaves very rigid, velvety uniform dark pale green. Young fruits globose, green to dirty violet. Very common.
