N. Vietnam, Ha Giang prov., Meo Vac distr., Shung Cha municipality, vicinities of Lo Loi Phin village (N 23°11′ E 105°17′). Wet secondary mossy forest near the top of remnant karst limestone ridge at elev. 1250 m a.s.l. Shrub up to 1.5 m hg on open mossy rocks. Not common.
