S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, 14 km to NNW from Dalat city (N 12° 05′, E 108° 22′). Primary closed mixed forest with Pinus kesiya and P. krempfii at 1740-1760 m alt. Seedling about 3 m hg of tree reaching 40-45 m hg with stem up to 2 m in diam. Codominante of 1 mixed forest stratum. VH 2532 11.03.1997 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
