S. Vietnam, Prov. Ninh Thuan, distr. Ninh Son, municipalite Phuoc Binh, 37 km to NE from Dalat city. Closed primary broadleaved wet mt forest on E macroslope of Gia Rinh mt. ridge at 1700-1800 m alt. (N 12° 06′, E 108° 43′). Seedling about 4 m hg of tree reaching 35-40 m hg. Not rare. Often codominante in 1 forest stratum on W macroslope of Gia Rinh mt. ridge at 1600-1750 m alt.
