Closed primary broadleaved evergreen mt forest with Pinus krempfii on W macroslope of Gia Rinh mt. ridge at 1700-1800 m alt. (N 12° 09′, E 108° 41′). Seedling about 2-3 m hg of tree reaching 15-20 m hg. Common. Often codominante in 2 forest stratum at 1700-1800 m alt. VH 4051 18.04.1997 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
