S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, 40 km to NE from Dalat city. Closed primary broadleaved forest on S macroslope of Hon Giao mt. ridge at 1500-1550 m alt. (N 12° 11′, E 108° 43′). Grass up to 1.5 m hg. Very common. Often codominante in forb forest stratum at 1500 m alt. VH 4136 21.04.1997 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
