S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay and Prov. Khanh Hoa, distr. Khanh Son boundary region, 41 km to NE from Dalat city. Primary closed broadleaved cloud forest on tops of Nui Hon Giao ridge at 1950-2050 m alt. (N 12° 11′, E 108° 43′). Tree 10-14 m hg. Flowers white or yellowish-white. Very common. Usual codominante of 1 forest stratum, especially on tops of ridge at 1800-2050 m alt. VH 4250 23.04.1997 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
