S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, 40 km to NE from Dalat city. Closed primary evergreen broadleaved wet mt forest on SW macroslope of Hon Giao mt. ridge at 1500-1650 m alt. (N 12° 11′, E 108° 43′). Young tree about 8 m hg of tree reaching 25-30 m hg. Not rare. Sometimes dominante in 1 forest stratum at 1550-1650 m alt. on SW macroslope of the ridge. VH 4421 26.04.1997 International Botanical Expedition of the U.S.A.
