FLORA OF VIETNAM Melastomataceae Melastoma malabatricum ?
S. Vietnam, Kontum Prov., Kon Plong Distr., Hieu Municipality, Mang La forest enterprise (14°39′N, 108°25′E). Primary evergreen broad-leaved closed dry forest on steep slopes of granite mountains at elev. 1200 m. Shrub 1.5-2 m hg on steep open road slopes. Flowers pink-violet. Very common. Usual dominant of secondary shrub communities in the area.
