S. Vietnam, Kontum Prov., Kon Plong Distr., Hieu Municipality, Mang La
forest enterprise (14°39′N, 108°25′E). Primary broad-leaved wet
evergreen forest on sandstone at elev. 1100-1200 m. Tree up to 15 m
hg. Flowers white, strong pleasant fragrant, axis and pistils
green, anthers yellow, filaments purple. Very common, one of
dominants of 2 forest stratum.
