S. Vietnam, Kontum Prov., Sa Thay Distr., Sa Son Municipality, Chu Mom Ray nature reserve (14°25′N, 107°44′E). Primary wet broad-leaved closed evergreen mountain forest on granites at elev. 700-900 m. Shrublet about 1 m hg in shady slope along forest road. Flowers pink-violet, ripe fruits black-violet. Not common.
