river on N macroslope of Chu Yang Sinh mt system. Primary broad-leaved mountain evergreen forest on granites along river slopes at elev. 500-550 m. Epiphytic shrub with pendent shoots up to 2 m lg along river. Flowers brightly red, calyx dirty purple. Locally common.
