Lithocarpus balansae (Drake) A.Camus

Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Tung Vai Commune, Kho My Village, around point 23.08460°N 104.88377°E steep rocky slopes composed with highly eroded limestone at elevation 1000–1250 m a.s.l. Primary evergreen broad-leaved very humid forest. Tree to 20-25 m tall. Fruits pale gray-brownish to 5 cm in diameter, seeds 2-3 cm in diameter, edible, but bitter. Common. 6 October 2019, L.
