Palm-like tree on very steep rocky slopes and on vertical cliffs. Stem 3.5 m tall in shady place. Male specimen. Leaves 2.5 m long, pinnes 170-220, each 25-30 cm long. Cone ovate 30 cm, 22 cm in diam., light greenish, brown-orange hairy. Immature specimens common. Specimens bearing cones very rare.
